About Me

My name is Sabine, I’m native from Germany and I love books.

Well, that’s not all, of course, but it is a big part of my life and always has been.

After working for other people all my life in various jobs and industries, I took the plunge in 2024 to quit and become my own boss.
At that point, I had already been working as a freelance translator/editor/proofreader for the best part of four years, so I didn’t have to start from scratch but was able to build on a small existing portfolio.

Unfortunately, this was also the time when AI started to explode and I had to rethink my strategy very early on. So, rather than just offering translations, I expanded my services and now offer AI translation checks, which include editing the text, and checking the localisation.

So, there you go.
